The Band

The Band

Sara

Always an enthusiast, always meticulous, sometimes singing, cheering. So she’s our “band aid”; one who as often as possible makes sure we are on form, have what we need, that we look the part and ensures the smallest things cannot go wrong [think hair grips, fabric fasteners, tea for tummy wobbles, comfort hugs].

She’s German, loves Scotland and France and vintage.
A multilingual water-drinker, she may do our sound soon but knows and quietly sings almost all our songs.
Fan # 1 who often photographs and films us.

Stamford

Stamford, usually on vocals, harmonies and six strings [more on ukulele coming] has been lucky, plucky and persuasive enough to meet and gather gracious and willing musicians to take on concerts or recordings. Splendid! Permanent members may soon click. He’s African and can say thanks in 17 languages, loves sharing smiles and musical notes [sic]. His adoration of English pervades his sometimes rich lyrics, but has made it a point to add French.

Red wine or beer at weekends only, tea dominates mornings and is inspired by the deepest passion displayed in arts and devoted artists.

Julie

Julie is actually a mum of three and a partner to one. She is also French, sings wonderfully in English – and lives…in London.  She has passed her huge smile onto the children and they all sing too. Julie truly loves her food and as for drinks; she’s French so what do you think? Yes, of course her passion is her family – and one day we’ll hear her ability on the piano in gigs.

Thank You

Antoine Ferrera: for the photos, videos, editing, sound work especially and his bass.
Yolande Kousnetsov: constant, consistent in-depth music help and enormous enthusiasm
Alan Miller: luthier extraordinaire, repairer sans pareil and pal.
